Duroc pigs are robust and they adapt to warm weather. Regarding productivity, their meat is of the finest quality, increasing the rates of fat marbling in the products after their crossing. This breed is used as an animal base in Iberian pig products and in industrial or white pig. It allows for different maximum percentages of crossing with Duroc according to the product. Gepork offers two different lines of Duroc:
Duroc Marbled: Regarding productivity, their meat is of the finest quality, increasing the marbled fat % in the products after their crossing. This line is used as a base for Iberian pig products and crossings with white sows.
Duroc IC: When crossed, it offers higher growth rates, lean meat %, conversion index and canal efficiency rate.
